For many, it's hard to figure out where to start when solving your contracting problems. Where do you start? What do you do? Who do you call? Luckily, Jacob Enterprises is here to help you figure out what steps you need to take. Give us a call at 914.403.6093. Or email us if that's more your style. We welcome all questions, big or small. Our goal is to have you feel at ease and comfortable during the process, just like you're talking to a neighbor. Here are some common questions that we helped many of our clients find the answers to:
I have a huge puddle in my backyard, what can I do?
In some cases, simply adding topsoil to the low area will help water flow out of your backyard. In others, a simple subsurface drainage line can fix the problem.
My toilet seems to flush slowly, could there be a problem with my sewer line?
Possibly. Sometimes a straightforward snaking or cleaning of the pipe will remedy the problem. Other times, depending on the age and style of pipe, there could be settlement or collapsing of the exterior sewer line, which we can determine by using our camera equipment.
Help! I want a shed on my property to store all my tools in. I need to get a pad for a future shed, what do I do?
I could come and evaluate your property for the best location for a shed and possible access for the shed to be delivered.
We're adding another driver to our family. We need more room for the cars and basketball hoop. What are my options?
I could make the driveway bigger. Call us for a free site consultation to evaluate the best possible option.
My basement seems damp. When it rains a lot, it gets water in the low corner. Is there an easy fix?
Sometimes, just redirecting downspouts can get water away from the foundation. Or, the ground may have settled alongside the foundation, allowing surface water to accumulate and seep down into the foundation. Other times, the footing drain line could be plugged or need replacing. A simple fix is the best place to start.
I have no backyard for my kids and dog to play in. Can you help?
Depending upon the size of the property and the topography, we could resculpt your backyard, giving you the yard you always dreamed of.
Running out of room in my home. Thinking of putting an addition on… Where do I start?
It’s always best to consult your local building department for basic guidelines. They might suggest you contact an architect or contractor. We could help with both, as we've worked with reputable architects and contractors in the past.
I'm tired of shoveling snow on my property. Can you do it for me?
Yes! We offer many types of snow removal methods. Let's figure out which one works for you together.
My grass is dry and has issues growing in spots. What do I do?
Sometimes the best grass seed available isn’t going to fix poor soil. Many factors affect grass growth, some of these reasons could be: not having enough topsoil, poor quality subsoil, poor drainage, too much shade. We should schedule a site visit to determine what your needs are.
I have another question about an issue on my property. Who do I ask?
Ask Bill. We will be more than happy to help you!
